The Jena Codex is a bible of the Hussite movement that promoted a church reform in Bohemia in the first half of the 15th century. The present miniature from this codex shows the execution of John Huss. Lured to the Council of Constance by a false promise of safe conduct, Huss was tried, condemned and executed in 1415.
