Arian Baptistery, Ravenna

This small, octagonal building was erected next to the Arian cathedral (now Santo Spirito) by Theodoric for his Arian Goths in the late 5th century. Theoderic the Great (454-526), often referred to as Theodoric, was king of the Ostrogoths (475–526). He founded the Ostrogothic Kingdom based in Ravenna.
