Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa, Codalet, France

Today no more than a ruin, the Abbey of Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa was one of the most important building complexes in the Mozarabic style dating from the tenth century. Major extensions both eastwards by the addition of a new chancel area, and also at the west end by a new façade with two towers completed the church by 1040.
