Cathedral, Jaca (Huesca)

The cathedral St Peter the Apostle in Jaca is the first Romanesque cathedral built in Aragon and one of the oldest in the Iberian peninsula. The exact date at which the cathedral was built is still disputed. The layout of the choir and the transept basically still follows the earlier Mozarabic style which had already been adapted in the early Romanesque architecture of Catalonia. One of the characteristic features of this style is the flat central dome.

The photo shows the nave with Gothic vaults.
