Collegiate church, Toro (Zamora)

The Collegiate church of Santa María la Mayor (Church of Saint Mary the Great) is a church in Toro, Spain. It was begun around 1100, and was finished in the mid-12th century. It is one of the most characteristic examples of transitional Romanesque architecture in Spain. The crossing tower is a Spanish speciality - an octagon of repeated arches with four tourelles at the corners.
