Cathedral, Asti

The existing main body of the Cathedral (Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta) in Asti, southwest of Milan, was probably up by about 1348 after a complete collapse in 1323. The height and slimness of the windows are the only hint that an undistinguished outer shell enfolds a high-quality interior.

The photo shows the side view of the church.
