Nieuwe Kerk, Delft

The choir of the Nieuwe Kerke (New Church) in Delft displays a systematic use us the niches in the clerestory wall, which has windows only in its upper half. With its sturdy round columns, ambulatory, and triforium arcades set under the nave windows, originally the interior of the choir must have been more like the collegiate church in Mechelen at the time than is the case today.

The photo shows the nave looking east.
