In the lower register on the east side of the Campanile, there are only five reliefs instead of seven, because the place for reliefs between Theatre and Architecture is covered by the lunette of the entrance door. The five reliefs, carried out by the workshop of Andrea Pisano, depict human activities.

The seven reliefs in the upper register on the east side show representations of the Liberal Arts.
