What a wonderful site!! I am a professor of Medieval Literature and find this a perfect teaching tool for my indisciplinary classes. My students look up the pertinent artwork themselves, or I send them a postcard when I want them to know about a painting, etc. The commentary is a superb addition! Many thanks! I visited Florence last summer and was most impressed by the frescoes of the Brancacci chapel. Since that time, Filippino Lippi's self-protrait never left my mind: The most handsome man in Italy unfortunately is already dead since 500 years! Thanks for creating such a beautiful page! It's wonderful! Claudia Claudia Vogelhuber, claudia.vogelhuber@po.uni-stuttgart.de |
Thank you for putting together such a well done web page of the Sistine Chapel. My one & only comment/suggestion is that I would like to see larger images/imagery of the artwork. Kelly McCowan, Not available, Not available |
One of the greatest monuments of art. And a great website! Frey Augusto Narváez V., Fiducolo@openway.com.co |
I was looking for Rosso Fiorentino's Musiciant angel. I saw this paint in Florence in February 1997 and I surprised because the angel was exactly like my daughter is! Thank you for having given to me the opportunity to look again at this paint, but unfortunately colors were not the same as ther really are (that's THE problem with the reproduction of arts). Anyway my heart and eyes were astonished this evening looking at your never-ending catalog. Lucio Caccamo, chirtrap@imiucca.csi.unimi.it |
Beautiful, marvellous, exciting! Contemplating and enjoying Michelangelo´s paintings seating at your own home...No words to celebrate the progress, the benefit and the prospects of INTERNET. No matter if I do not have time or money to visit the Sistine Chapel. From now on I will carry on thanking you for the present of your PAINTINGS COLLECTION.EXCELSIOR! Thanks ever so much. Rafael.
