Murals in the Catacombs of Marcellinus and Peter, Rome (2nd-5th centuries)

The Catacombs of Marcellinus and Peter are situated on the ancient Via Labicana in Rome. Their name refers to the Christian martyrs Marcellinus and Peter who, according to tradition, were buried here.

Some of the frescoes in the catacombs were recently restores restored, such as those of the cubicle of Susanna and the fossor, the niche of Daniel, the arcosolium of Orpheus, the cubicle of Our Lady with two Magi, and the cubicle of the praying matron.
