I just read that a list of Rembrandts and Rubens was compiled in France. The list includes 171 pieces of art. Forty-nine have been accounted-leaving 122 pieces lost. How would one go about checking on the lost ones? One never knows if one might stumble upon one at an estate sale or even a yard sale (albeit highly unlikely). My whole family was impressed with the size and quality of the gallery as well as the ease to find the authors as well as specific paintings. As a student, my 11 year old daughter found easily the material she needed to prepare an asignment which helped her visualize the project.
