I love your site, even though I am condemned to go through life not appreciating art as true art lovers do. I am doing some research into the iconography of St. Francis so it was interesting to get an overview. I came upon this page quite by chance one day and immediately added it to my Favourites. It is amazingly comprehensive and covers what has to be one of the most inspired periods in the whole history of art (the Renaissance is also one of my passions!). Great work, all who were involved. I've now discovered how to own (copies of!) all the greatest paintings in the world! I only wish art history was an option at my school... sigh... your bio for antonio del castillo is incorrect. he was a pupil of Ignacio Aedo Calderon, a little-known Cordoba painter, and not of his uncle Juan (he had no uncle named Juan).
